Private cross country ski lessons and guiding
We offer private cross country ski lessons for first time beginners through to intermediate level nordic skiers in both classic and skate skiing styles.
During your private cross country ski lesson you will learn the basic nordic skiing technique. You could find that just one private lesson is all that you need to get you started so that you can go and explore the perfectly prepared trails for yourself. Although if you want to develop your skiing skills so you can progress on to more technical circuits with greater gradient changes you might find that several private lessons are beneficial.
In the Courchevel and Meribel valleys there are some fabulous cross country skiing circuits which are suitable for all levels of nordic skier. These picturesque trails meander through the forests and loop around sunny plateaus with stunning views of the mountains and valleys. If you would like to take a break for a drink or want to enjoy a lunch after your private lesson there are some great mountain restaurants with direct access to the cross country tracks.
Guided cross country ski tours
Should you be interested in enjoying a different kind of nordic skiing experience we can organise guided adventure days to explore the extensive cross country skiing areas set amidst the dramatic scenery and nature of the Vanoise National Park in Champagny-le-Haut and the resort of Pralognan-la-Vanoise.

Full Day
£450 GBP
- All day (6+ hour) private cross country ski lesson for complete flexibility.
- Start and finish the day whenever you or your private group would like to.

Flexible Morning
£330 GBP
- 4 hour private cross country ski lesson to maximise your morning.
- Full flexibility to start and finish the morning whenever you or your private group would like to.
- POA Christmas, New Year, Easter & February Half Term.

3 Hour Morning
£255 GBP
- Flexibility to choose a private lesson start time to suit you between 09:00-09:30am.

2 Hour Afternoon
£150 GBP
- 2 hour afternoon private cross country ski lesson with start time from 14:00 onwards.

To ensure that you get the most from your private lesson we will arrange a convenient time and place to meet as it will depend on the most suitable circuit for your ability level and the prevailing track conditions.
Our pricing is straightforward
We prefer to keep things simple by charging a flat rate for our private tuition and guiding services. Therefore you will not be charged a supplement based on the number of people in your private lesson or guided group.
For private cross country ski lessons we generally recommend having no more than six skiers in your group so that everyone can benefit from quality tuition time with the instructor.
Other important details
Your personal safety is our main priority. From a safety perspective please note that we will only ski off piste during private lessons or guided days if the snow and weather conditions permit.
For all dedicated off piste ski lessons and guiding the use of full avalanche safety equipment is mandatory. We can advise on where you can hire a pack (backpack or airbag/transceiver/shovel/probe) in resort if you do not have your own.
Helmets are compulsory for all children and teenagers aged up to 18 years in our private lessons or when skiing with the guide.
You will benefit from priority access to the ski lifts meaning that you get more time on the slopes to ski. We are also able to provide video analysis and feedback for private lessons on request.
We always try to be as flexible as possible but due to demand in the busiest school holiday weeks we are unable to split the week between different client bookings.
For the main February half term week we require a minimum booking for six full days of private tuition or guiding. And for the New Year and main Easter holiday week we require a minimum booking of five (4 hour) mornings for private ski lessons or guiding.

In addition, if you are interested in organising a private instructor or guide for the duration of your holiday it would helpful to contact us with as much notice as possible to avoid potential disappointment.
